Frank, a reporter, is conducting a survey of paraplegics to better understand his father’s despair after a tragic accident left him with the loss of the use of his legs. Frank meets and interviews Eliza, a young woman who seems to be punishing herself. Her gentleness and her plight intrigue him, and he crosses the boundary of professionalism in trying to help her cope.
